KALAMAZOO PROVES TO BE TOUGHER THAN EXPECTED

The annual stop in Kalamazoo, Michigan for the Michigan Junior Masters Association was a little tougher than many expected it would be. The scoring pace on the 33 foot pattern was very low and not one bowler averaged 200 for the six-game qualifying block. Alex Ouellette (Linwood, MI) navigated the pattern to take the top qualifier spot for the guys with an 1196 score while Taylor Davis (Burton, MI) led the way for the ladies with a 1033 six-game total.

INAUGURAL RICHFIELD OPEN CROWNS REPEAT CHAMPIONS

The Michigan Junior Masters Association initiated a new center into the mix with this years Flint area tournament. Richfield Bowl in Richfield, MI stepped in when Sunnybrook Lanes closed suddenly back in September to host their first event. Jim Teuber and his staff did a wonderful job getting the 102 bowlers feeling somewhat comfortable, considering the very tough 39 foot pattern they were bowling on.

WINTERS & DAVIS CAP FIRST HALF WITH WINS IN LANSING

The Michigan Junior Masters Association held it’s annual Adult – Junior Tournament at the friendly confines of Royal Scot Lanes once again this season. This annual event is a fun time and it is great to see the Mom’s, Dad’s and former MJMA members join with the current membership to see who ends up as the best team for this year.

Davis and Kersten Take Wins Home From Clarkston

The Michigan Junior Masters Association rolled into the place where it all began 30 years ago, Cherry Hill Lanes North in Clakston for the Annual Klaczkiewicz Memorial Open. The Brunswick Rhino patter, shortened to 34 feet, proved to be not much of a challenge to our members as the top ten guys averaged over 200 for the eight-game qualifier. Tournament leader Alex Ouellette (Linwood, MI) shot a very impressive 1836 to lead all bowlers while Meghan Macunovich (Canton, MI) led the way for the ladies with a nice 1585 for her eight-game qualifier.
